MEXI BOWLS

These locally sourced and handpicked MEXICAN bowls originate from the 1950s. At these times it was common to invite a whole village for a wedding and the closer you were to the wedding couple the bigger your bowl and meal were. The ceramics were made just for this occasion, so it was meant to be used just one time.

Luckily it has surpassed generations and is still to be found in the small villages in Mexico. Each piece is UNIQUE and handmade and a treasure from Mexico that is harder and harder to find. In some of the pieces the artist have signed your bowl with their initials, and even more rarely the bowl carries the name of the bride and groom inside. And very rarely you find bowls with the name of the bride and the groom inside the bowl.

I love them because they are full of colour, life, soul and makes my everyday life in the kitchen, on my table, in my window,  or as art objects in my home, more colourful and warm. Each time I source new bowls I am equally happy and full of gratitude and love bringing them forward to new homes that treasure them just as much as I do.

Treasure it, use it, take care of it and let it make you happy. It was made as a celebration of life and love keep it like that.
