On a remote island in the Thyrrenian sea I found these baskets in the local bakery.
Through many conversations i reached the one man still keeping up the islands tradition of these baskets, cestas - originally made for drying fruits (figs) or tomatoes.
They remind me of warm summers in the south and I use them for wall-hang, for bread and citrus fruits inside. They come in 2 shapes - and 3 sizes.
